Are you a parent who only wants the best for your girls? Well, we all know that little girls are our princesses and we only want them to get the best of what the world has to offer before they grow up in young women. If you have trouble making your girls go to bed because they want to watch more television, play more with their dolls, or whatever, here’s how you can make it easy for them to go to bed and make your girls bunk beds their own little princess paradise.
First, if their bunk beds are plain looking, invest more on a few more materials. Buy beddings that are pink or just choose something that’s their favorite color. Let’s say for example on this little project that your little girls are crazy for pink. You can start by purchasing pink bedding. Add a little excitement to their pillows by buying pink pillows with ruffles or any cute design that’s suited for little girls.
When all the bedding and pillows are already the right color, get a blanket that’s cozy and girly. Girls love to cuddle and blankets with designs like ponies, bunnies, and anything cute and princess-y are a plus.
Now, we can move on to the extras. Purchase a few yards of purple and pink cloths from your local textile store. You can also mix and match other colors such as white and pink, pastel blue and violet – any colors you think your girls will love. You can be creative by buying a cotton cloth of (let’s say) pink and a sheer purple cloth to match. When you decided on the cloths and color, you are now ready to go to the hardware store.
At the hardware store, get the service center to make you’re a customer wooden ring, something similar to the shape of a driver’s steering wheel, and have them paint it with non toxic white. Buy a few sturdy nylon strings, and a few nail hooks.
When you have your cloths and other materials ready, go up the bunk bed and screw some nail hooks on the ceiling. Use the nails hooks to tie the nylon string with and tie the other end of the nylon strings on the white steering wheel like circle. Wrap the pink cloth first around the circle, make sure to have loose ends drape freely around the bed, this will create a curtain effect and build a canopy over the girls bunk beds. Repeat the same process with the sheer cloth. Add some designs like stitch in cut out yellow fabrics in shape of stars or red fabrics in shape of hearts on the drapes. Then you are all set.
Your girls bunk beds are now officially, a princess paradise and they will love sleeping in it. It’s also very cozy if you really look at it. Aside from having them go to their princess dreamland when they sleep, it will also help them feel safe and secure – thanks to the drapes. Check out pine bunk bed.
